Tai Chi @ Mosaic Health & Healing Arts
Mar 28 @ 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Tai Chi is sometimes referred to as “meditation in motion” and can benefit the mind, body and spirit. It can be a useful practice for reducing stress and anxiety as well as improve muscle strength, flexibility and balance. Each session is focused on learning warm ups, breathing, posture, stances and moving slowly and sensitively while developing deep awareness of how our body feels.

Tai Chi Chuan is rooted in a martial art system based on the understanding of the on going changes in the relationship of the qualities of Yin and Yang. As an ancient Chinese tradition, today, it is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. It is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.

Dr. Mohsen Hamadanchi will be leading this series. As a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine and an experienced martial artist, Dr. Hamadanchi is happy to bring the art of Tai Chi to our Mosaic community!

Cost of each class is $10 (sliding scale is available!)

Transgender Support Group – You are not alone! @ Mosaic Health & Healing Arts
Apr 6 @ 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This is a safe and welcoming space for transgender people, gender non-binary people, those questioning their gender identity, and their family, friends and allies. This meeting is created for the purpose of finding connection with others of similar life experience, sharing information and supporting each other. This is a peer facilitated group and not a clinical therapy group.

Our time together includes both group conversation and information sharing focused on the gender spectrum as we experience it, as well as some informal social time. We meet together as one group and, if desired, we offer a separate space for family and friends so there is space for everyone to find the connection and support they most need. There is time at the end for everyone to visit and socialize.
We meet at Mosaic in Goshen which is on the campus of Oaklawn. The address is 330 Lakeview Drive, Goshen. It’s on the north end of Goshen off of IN-15. When you turn in at the Oaklawn sign, follow the drive all the way to the end. You will see a gray building in front of you. Park in the lot and head in the door labeled “Main Entrance”.  There is a receptionist inside the door who will point you toward our meeting space, in case we are not there greeting you personally. We are very excited to welcome you to Mosaic! Coffee, juice and pastries will be provided!

Living in the Non-Binary – Discussion and Connection @ Mosaic Health & Healing Arts
Apr 15 @ 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

This is a new, and likely, ever evolving group space that consists of discussion and support for those experiencing and perceiving life in non-binary expression.  That expression may be in the form of gender identity, relationship or family structure, spirituality, community building, academics, healing, career, and many other parts of our lives. As a place to open the conversation we will focus on the gender spectrum and invite the conversation to grow from there. Many of the binary structures in our society are beginning to crumble. Those of us who already have experience living and navigating the non-binary world have much to share. We also face the challenge of living in a world where the binary systems still have power. So, in the space of this group, we share our experience, knowledge, wisdom, struggles and gifts of living in non-binary expression.
