Tai Chi is sometimes referred to as “meditation in motion” and can benefit the mind, body and spirit. It can be a useful practice for reducing stress and anxiety as well as improve muscle strength, flexibility and balance. Each session is focused on learning warm ups, breathing, posture, stances and moving slowly and sensitively while developing deep awareness of how our body feels.
Tai Chi Chuan is rooted in a martial art system based on the understanding of the on going changes in the relationship of the qualities of Yin and Yang. As an ancient Chinese tradition, today, it is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. It is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.
Dr. Mohsen Hamadanchi will be leading this series. As a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine and an experienced martial artist, Dr. Hamadanchi is happy to bring the art of Tai Chi to our Mosaic community!
