Dawn Ziegelmaier, MSN, FNP
Family Nurse Practitioner
Born and raised in Michiana, Dawn Ziegelmaier (she/her) has worked in healthcare for over 24 years. After earning her BSN in Nursing in 1998, she worked as an RN at Memorial Hospital for nearly 20 years, as well as working at St. Joseph Medical Center for 10 years. During this time she honed a diverse skill set as a float nurse, serving in a variety of units including surgical, rehab, pediatrics, cardiovascular, and ICU. Prior to working at Mosaic, Dawn spent the last 10 years of her career working in the ER, allowing her multiplicity of skills to shine. In 2020 she received her MSN in nursing as well as a certification to be a Family Nurse Practitioner. As a part of her studies, Dawn completed her clinical rotations at Mosaic under Dr. Bast from 2019-2020.
“Dr. Bast is an excellent role model! She taught and encouraged me when I was a student NP so I knew as I transitioned into the role of a new FNP that I would be supported 100%.”
A member of the LGBTQ2IA+ community, Dawn is passionate about providing safe, holistic, patient-centered, and culture-sensitive care to all her patients.
Aside from being an FNP, you can find Dawn playing board games with her 3 young adult children, cozying up with any assortment of her six pets, vacationing on a cruise, and doing paper crafts with friends.
My goal is to empower my patients (and their families) to make choices that lead to longer, healthier lives. It is a blessing to be part of a team that provides excellent care to a patient population that is varied in age, culture, and socioeconomic background.
