Jenn Faulkner-Jones, MS, NCC, LMHCA
Director of Counseling & Mental Wellness
A life-long hoosier, Jenn Faulkner-Jones (she/they) has called South Bend home for the past 20 years. After attending Holy Cross College, Jenn went on to gain her certification as a cosmetologist, she worked as hair dresser in the area for 18 years.
While attending Indiana University South Bend as a double major in Women and Gender Studies and English, Jenn learned began to understand diversity and diverse sexuality through a critical lens, which empowered her to recognize her own queer identity.
After finishing her Bachelor’s degree she started a Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in an effort to provide a space for others to give voice to their unique story.
Jenn has come a long way from her beginnings as Mosaic’s first-ever mental health intern in 2016 to now serving as the Director of Counseling & Mental Wellness, a Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate and a Nationally Certified Counselor.
She focuses on serving the LGBTQ2IA+ community and their allies living with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and other common mental health concerns. As a gender and sexuality specialist she invites patients to make meaning from their experience of gender. Jenn helps patients plan ways to live with enhanced authenticity, integrating their gender identity and sexuality with other important parts of their life.
Maya Angelou is quoted as saying, ‘there is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.’ I feel privileged, every day, to be a story hearer for my patients. Providing unconditional acceptance for a person’s truth can create fertile soil for the seeds of healing, empowerment, and understanding to grow.
